n order to perform the magnetostimulation treatment you need the Viofor controller which generates the pulsed magnetic field (Clasic, Delux, Family, Clinic) and a magnetostimulation applicator.

The choice of applicator depends on the planned therapeutic goal. The mat – applicator for whole-body treatments is used in case of systemic lesions (e.g. for patients after stroke). The cushion and the ring, which have a smaller surface area, are recommended for localised lesions requiring a stronger therapeutic stimulus. Point applicators are used for lesions located on a very small area. The area to be treated should be in the magnetic field area, i.e. in the centre of the coil of the ring applicator, on the surface of the mat or between two flat applicators. In the case of magnetostimulation applicators we can use two combined flat applicators at the same time – e.g. a mat and a cushion. The purpose of combining applicators is to increase the effectiveness of the treatments. 

The magnetic field penetrates clothes, bandages and plaster casts without any problems.

Magnetostimulation treatments with the Viofor system are performed once or twice a day and the duration of a single treatment is 10 or 12 minutes. In many situations, e.g. in pain, it is recommended to double or triple the duration of a single treatment.

Magnetotherapy treatments carried out with the Viofor system are applied locally with the assistance of a physiotherapist who determines the therapy parameters. To perform the treatment you need a special magnetotherapy applicator and a Clinic controller which generates pulsed magnetic fields. Magnetotherapy applicator allows for performing treatments on selected parts of the body. The two-colour coating of the disks shows the polarity of the magnetic field generated by each element, which is important for the therapy methodology. The duration of treatment should be between 10 and 30 minutes. Magnetic fields pass through clothing and dressings (including plaster dressings) without any difficulty.
